WITH A VENGEANCE, a collaboration between Broken Brass and Bûsdoek Brewery!
We are a thirsty band. We are thirsty for a giant sound, thirsty for explosive energy and thirsty for lots of blond beers. It is therefore only natural that, while recording our new album “WITH A VENGEANCE”, we decided to brew our own beer. It had to be a strong beer, a beautiful blonde that after the wedding night would hit you just as hard as our new action movie based record. A golden beer that Arnold Schwarzenegger would drink to wash away the taste of protein shakes. A capricious beer that Bruce Willis would sip just before growling the perfect oneliner, right in the middle of the shoot-out.
While in the studio, we phoned @brouwerijbusdoek, who designed a new recipe in no-time, based upon the tastes of the eight band members. Not long afterwards, the first test-beers were to be tried. Broken Brass sampled, through the taste of copper in our mouths, the explosive flavours of Citra & Saaz hop, in unfiltered beer with a firm and full malt body. Cardamom, cane sugar and Trappist yeast hunting each other in a high-speed chase through the streets of our tastebuds. We barely survived the tasting session.
Once the dust had settled only one beer emerged victorious: WITH A VENGEANCE! ?
